The Last Ten Books Tag + The Feelings Book Tag!

Hey fellow ramblers! I hope you guys are having a fabulous day so far!! Today I’m catching up on a few tags and I’m clearly so bad at completing and for that I apologize! I still have quite a few to go so you might be seeing quite a lot of these in the near future! So I’m doing two tags today, the first one is called The Last Ten Books Tag and I was tagged by Phoenix @ Books with Wings, Maria @ The Character Study and Madeline @ The Bookish Mutant!

Let’s get right to it!

The Last Book I Gave Up On

It isn’t very often that I give up on books are straight away DNF them, especially an ARC but I think I just picked this up at the wrong time. I don’t know if I’ll go back to it someday but for now I’m putting it aside. I wasn’t in the mood for fantasy at the time so I’ll probably read it again when I am.

Last Book I Re-Read

I don’t re-read books unless it’s a big favourite or if I’m in a reading slump. In this case, I wanted to prep for the Shadow and Bone show and I had already read the first book last year so I read it again to brush up my memory and finish the series.

Last Book I Bought

The last time I bought a physical copy of a book was last month and I actually bought four books at once, but the last one to arrive was The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang. I finished the entire series in a span of a few days and now my heart will never be the same again after all that it went through.

Last Book I Said I Read But Didn’t

I’m sure I’ve done this before but I can’t remember when or which book it was. I might have just said I read a book even though I only read like three-fourths and didn’t finish the rest. Or maybe I said I finished a book for school but really just read the summary. I don’t do that now but it’s definitely something I’ve done in the past.

Last Book I Wrote in the Margins of

I only write in books if it’s for school so I know the highlights of the chapters and can frame my answers better. The last book I did this in was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and my teacher made us write quite a lot of noted in the margins so now it’s a mess.

Last Book I Had Signed

I’ve never actually had a book signed. There are not a lot of book signings around where I live and the authors that do organize them, I don’t read their books so…yeah. But hopefully I’ll get a signed copy one day.

The Last Book I Lost

I don’t think I’ve actually misplaced a book before. And trust me, that’s very surprising considering how messy my room is. I’m sure I must have but I don’t remember. Or maybe I don’t even know if a book is lost haha.

Last Book I Had To Replace

I’ve never really had to replace a book either. Although, once I had to read an autobiography for school, and my brother tore off the cover. We obviously couldn’t replace it, but I can’t help but laughing every time I see its tape-bedazzled cover.

Last Book I Argued Over

I know you guys are going to think I’m so boring because I haven’t done this either, but see, I have two friends who are really into reading. The thing is, we have very different tastes. I’ve tried to get them to read books I like but recently, I’m not having much luck.

And that’s all for this tag!

I tag…

The Feelings Book Tag

Thank you Georgia @ Lost in Neverland for tagging me! I’m so excited to do this tag, so let’s get into it!

Rules

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and give a link to the blog.
  • Answer the 5 feelings given to you.
  • Write the reason in 5 to 6 lines of why does that particular book come under that feeling.
  • Nominate between 5-12 other bloggers.
  • Give your nominees 5 feelings too.
  • Notify your nominees once you’ve uploaded your post.

A Book That Made You Laugh Out Loud

I read this last month and oh my god I couldn’t control my laughter. The protagonist’s friend group are the funniest people ever and are definitely some of the people I would love to hang out with. This whole book was just full of joy and giddiness and I loved it so much!

A Book You Had to Stop Reading Because You Couldn’t Believe What Had Just Happened

Honestly, are we even surprised for this one? I was just staring at the wall for god knows how long. There so many emotions swirling in my chest and I didn’t know how to react. If you’ve read this, you know what I’m talking about. The pain that came with this one was intense.

A Book You Couldn’t Stop Crying Over

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I would tear up over this book weeks after reading. I still do. I have a novella from Nezha’s perspective sitting on my ‘want-to-read’ shelf, and after reading the reviews, I’m not ready to get my heart broken again. I don’t think I ever will be. But like, I need to read from his perspective. I NEED TO KNOW.

A Book That Makes You Insanely Happy

I literally cannot express how happy this book made me. I get that it could a bit predictable at times but I loved it just the same. There’s one particular scene which radiates so much power and support that I couldn’t stop smiling. IT WAS SO CUTE (iykyk).

A book with a character you love to hate

I wouldn’t exactly say I hate Rhen, but I’m definitely not a fan of his character. He makes the worst decisions possible, and because of that, the people he cares about have to suffer. To be honest, if I were to play a simple prank, Rhen would be the one who would immediately fall for it and then get mad at me for doing it at all.

And with that the tags are over! Here are my prompts:

  • A book that you had to stop reading because you got second-hand embarrassment.
  • A book that gave you butterflies
  • A book with a ship you will support till the day you die
  • A book you knew you would love after reading the first chapter
  • A book you knew you would hate but read it anyways

I tag…

And that’s all for today! Again, I’m so sorry I took so much time to get to these tags but I’m getting to all of them! Slow and steady wins the race, am I right? Anyways, let me know your thoughts in the comments!
